Art in Book Matching

We love a good book matching moment. The art in book matching is essentially taking two pieces of stone where the adjoining surfaces are mirroring one another creating that stunning impression of what would seem as an open book. This typically works best with marble slabs. When it comes down to it you can place this in so many areas. This creates such a geometric look to tie everything all together. Something people don’t realize is how well this works inso many areas.

The kitchen might be the most common but it by far is not the only area to create this beautiful moment. Marble countertops are so it right now, the nicest touch is creating a waterfall countertop moment on your kitchen island. Some of my favorite stones to achieve this was is a good calacatta moment or another beautiful option is with an onyx marble as well where you can add lights underneath to give a luminous glow. You can also do this on the wall of your fireplace or even in a primary bathroom. By doing so, you are going to create such a dream home. The primary bathroom I will say is the most fun area for this because you can create such an artistic space. The walls just flow so effortlessly when done correctly.

Another favorite area of mine to book match is an accent wall. I particularly love this in an area you want to bring attention to such as an office main wall. By book matching a wall in the office you are able to create a sophisticated atmosphere that is going to draw in just the right amount of attention. Placement is going to be key for something like this, I would recommend placing an executive desk in the center with the accent wall right behind it.

Although we love a good book matched moment finding the right stone can be tricky. Not all options we see and love have this ability so it is definitely important to keep that in mind when shopping around. The art in book matching is ultimately going to elevate a space but if you are ever unsure about where to start or what stone to chose just give Nazeli Design a call or check out our different platforms for help!
