Renovating Your Kitchen
The kitchen is known to be the heart of the home, it is where people come together and find comfort and what better than to amplify that space up. Renovating your kitchen with the most minor details can achieve such a rich look.
I have always loved working on making the kitchen a better place as it really is somewhere most people spend their time. It’s not just about cooking in there, you could be doing a variety of tasks there such as sitting down to have dinner, watching TV, or even catching up on some emails. It really is important to make it a space you’re comfortable in. Although tearing up the kitchen and completely redoing it can be something new and exciting it is not exactly something that is ideal for most.
Here I have a few tips that could really help amp up your kitchen:
Replace handles and knobs
Replace faucet
Add accent pieces such as flowers, trays or candles to countertops
Replacing your backsplash
Paint cabinetry instead of replacing them
I have linked a few different handle and knob options that could really help bring some light into your kitchen or even just give you a fun touch. Replacing your faucet is also a great alternative to renewing your kitchen. It’s something that you might not realize is such an attention grabber but it could potentially make or break it. Another great alternative to replacing your cabinets is to just repaint over them. They can literally come out looking brand new and makes it look so different. You should also consider replacing your backsplash. This can turn it into a more modern updated look and can even help it look like a totally different kitchen.
If you are looking to splurge on your backsplash Porcelanosa has a variety of options that will help compliment your kitchen. If you are looking for a more budget friendly option Daltile and Arizona tile have a beautiful selection too.
In the case that you have more space such as a kitchen counter that you aren’t utilizing or an island adding a tray with a few light items on there could really spice it up. You can also make a statement by adding a vase with an intricate design. These two treys from World Market and CB2 are great options. They make a statement and you can add small items to put on top of it such as a candle or a succulent.
Remember that your kitchen is a space you should enjoy. When you add these small changes it can make the most drastic change and give you that spark you were looking for. If you feel like you don’t end up having enough space for a tray going with a statement vase could work just as well. The Jonathan Alder signature vases are a great go to. A few simple flowers really maximizes the look of it and cleans it up.
Once you implement a few changes you too will start to get the hang of it and see how drastic of a change these small decorative pieces can make when renovating your kitchen. During the holidays or when seasons begin to change you can change up the candle scent and add flowers to go with the theme of that time period. It will feel like a different experience every time someone walks into your kitchen.
