Women’s History Month

As we wrap up March we are also wrapping up Women’s History Month. As a women in business I feel so proud and encouraged with the people around me. I feel grateful to have crossed paths with so many amazing women not only throughout my career but also historical women. We celebrate this month because of the courage of women throughout previous generations. We celebrate all that they have done and their bravery for achieving the freedom that we have today with endless opportunities.

It is an honor to see how far we have come and all that we have accomplished. Women have been able to dominate anything and everything! Working in such an impacted industry I have came across such successful woman. They have given me such great advice throughout the years that I carry with me and pass on to those around me. Meeting people within the same community as you is always a pleasure. There is room for all us, whether you are an experienced designer or a fresh one.

There are so many women I would have loved to have met. Many of them are still my inspiration till today. One of my biggest idols has to be none other than the Kelly Wearstler. She is an absolute design icon. Another few of my favorite women are Gabrielle Bonheur “Coco” Chanel and Audrey Hepburn.

Women supporting women is something we should continue do every single day. It is extremely important to support those in your industry as well. We can all support each other one way or another. Sometimes it is in the most simple ways where all it takes is a like, follow, or share.
