Living in Los Angeles is a definite luxury with all the beautiful real estate we are surrounded by. Casa Encantada in particular is known as a staple legendary property and is now for sale for $165 million. The design of this home has Nazeli Design gushing and we are here to highlight some of our favorite areas of the home.

In 1934 this home was bought by Hilda Weber for only $100,000 which might not seem like a lot today but post depression is considered to be a hefty amount. The original architect of the house was James E. Dolena who has created a masterpiece that he described as a “modern Georgian” style consisting of 8.4 acres. Upon entry you are greeted with the most elegant double doors and white exterior that lead you into the foyer with a stunning chandelier and staircase to the side.

It’s the little details that all come together to create such an elaborate space, such as how the walls are not just a simple paint color but have movement and texture along with beautiful pillars. There is a grand piano of course and rooms that have the most natural sunlight coming through to amplify the space that much more. There are also many ceiling details that do not go unnoticed. The formal sitting room is definitely one of our favorites with all the oak wood paneling. Even the furniture selection being so carefully curated feels so cozy.

The wood paneling is one of the main themes throughout the home. The unique bar is so classy it almost makes you not want to touch anything. The silver detailing is so refreshing with the mirrors behind the glass cups. A property such as this is meant for hosting where everyone can enjoy it. The tennis court by day and the poker room that includes a billiard table by night.

Casa Encantada is a LA staple, it is so refreshing to see a property remain traditional rather than the modern trending style. We are eager to see who ends up purchasing this stunning $165 million property. They are definitely hitting the jackpot with this monument.
