Color of the year for 2025
We have seen many color palettes come into play every year but there is typically one color that stands out the most. Many different paint brands have their predictions on trends but Benjamin Moore in specific has stated that Cinnamon Slate 2113-40 is the official color of the year for 2025 and Nazeli Design is very excited.
It is always enticing to see what the new trends are going to be and what colors will dominate the new year. As we all evolve as humans, so do the colors we portray. Every shade we end up loving pertains to us somehow. This year in particular we saw how the dark red tones bordering on brown captivated us all and it seems like people are really ready to commit to it next year. As designers, we love the new challenges that come with it such as steering our clients in the right direction on these tones and how to utilize it to their advantage in their spaces to make it timeless rather than just a trend.
Benjamin Moore describes Cinnamon Slate as “a mix of heathered plum and velvety brown.” This shade is almost a mixture of the past and the present. You might be wondering how and where you can use shades like Cinnamon Slate and the answer is anywhere and everywhere! Using this shade range can amplify even the most dullest of spaces or take an average room and make it look like a designer guided you. Applying this color in an office, laundry room, library or even a dining room can make it so moody and elegant.
Colors like Cinnamon Slate have depth to it. We love a good neutral but we are also over it in some ways. It’s time to use design to take the everyday mundane life to eradicating it through color. 2025 is the year to have fun with all things design and not worrying about blending in. Use bold colors, bring back jewel tones, and most importantly hire an interior designer to guide you along the way.
